About ME

I am Tobias Trumpp – a photographer working internationally for architects, developers, interior designers, and editorial clients. My work covers architectural and interior photography, fine art, hospitality, and commissioned editorial assignments across Europe and beyond.

A Different Starting Point

Before being a full-time photographer, I spent years as a packaging engineer and designer – working globally across Europe, North America, and Asia, based in the US for five of those years. Working for Unilever on brands like Dove, Axe, Rexona, and Vaseline, the work was rooted in engineering, design and consumer research: understanding consumer needs and translating them into packaging designs that are both appealing and functional. I was always curious to know: what makes people believe in something before they experience it.

From Obsession to Profession

I bought my first DSLR in 2008 – it immediately became a part of me. From then on I spent almost every free weekend in Manhattan or on random photography road trips through New England. It became a habit to travel a day earlier to business meetings to explore new places and cultures through my lens. What started as a hobby became an obsession.

Back in Germany from 2012, I started working professionally alongside my engineering career – first weddings and portraits, then architecture and interiors. In 2017 I made the full switch making my biggest passion my only source of income. I have not looked back.

What Drives the Work

I believe the best results come from a close partnership. I bring a clear vision and the same enthusiasm to every project: direct, honest, and always in active dialogue with my clients.
